We are looking for responsible, caring people to join our fantastic team at our residential children’s home as a Residential Childcare Worker.
This is a great opportunity to start or continue your career in care, working as part of a team committed to helping children and young people with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a setting where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where children and young people are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.
Our Residential Childcare Workers carry out an essential and varied role to provide the support required by the children and young people in our care.
Previous experience in a care setting would be great but isn’t essential as full training will be given, and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. This role is ideal for people who want to make a real difference to children and young people’s lives and futures.
Already qualified to or willing to work towards your level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and be motivated to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.
Our home offers residential care for boys aged11-18 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Residential Child Care Worker (Bank staff also required)
Spinal Point (S.P.) 2 – 11 £18,328 – £21,748 for full time
(Shift patterns to include weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins)
Sleep in allowance payable
until position filled

You would be required to work as part of a team and will need to build relationships with children & young people who may be facing difficult times. Patience, good observational skills and the best interests of the child is essential in safeguarding and making the right decisions for each individual.
Experience and Qualifications
You must have achieved or, be prepared to work towards, a minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (England)
You will be required to have effective computer and IT skills.
